Al-Masoom International Foundation Trust is First UK based Organisation responded on Kashmir Earthquake in 2005.
Intro 2005 Kashmir Earthquake:
The 2005 Kashmir Earthquake (also known as the South Asian earthquake or the Great Pakistan earthquake) was a major earthquake centered in Azad Kashmir (Pakistan-administered Kashmir) and in North West Frontier Province (NWFP). It occurred at 08:50:38 Pakistan Standard Time (03:50:37 UTC) on 8 October 2005.
It registered a debatable 7.6 or 7.7 on the Richter scale making it similar in intensity to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, 1935 Quetta earthquake, and the 2001 Gujarat earthquake.
As of 8 November, the government of Pakistan’s official death toll was 79,000, while officials say nearly 1,400 people also died in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir (Indian-administered Kashmir) and four people in Afghanistan. The severity of the damage caused by the quake is attributed to severe up-thrust, coupled with poor construction.]]>
On 20th march 2010 The Trust arranged and managed a Combined Marriages Ceremony in Rawalpindi at Naseerabad, Rawalpindi. In this Ceremony 27 couples were get married. Dowry and Food were given and Function was also arranged and managed by Al-Masoom International Trust.]]>
Al-Masoom International Trust
Mrs. Khan is living in England for four decade and involved in social development activities from her childhood. She hails from Attock city in Punjab Pakistan. She went to England, after settlement she took part in welfare activates in oxford community. She wanted to do something special for the socially excluded people’s of Pakistan. Oxford is the world’s largest educational city but at that time there was no proper arrangement of religious education for Muslim children’s.
She motivated her own friends and formed a Pakistani Women Association and got two rooms on rent.
The function was arranged and Mr. Mrs. Ashraf Badvi Head of Islamic Center Regent Park, The Malaysians Ambassador and some other people joined on opening ceremony of Islamic Center. It was start of her social work.
During the period of 1969, she was appointed as the Vice Chairperson of Oxford Committee for community Relations and then she was able to monitor the social issues very closely. She was the president of APWA (Oxford and midlands) for 12 years.
Mrs. Kafait Khan is the blessing especially for tearing humans, to pull them out of their sorrows and grieves.
She decided to form an organization for women in Manchester. Her keen interest in social welfare activities converted into an organization with the name of Al-Masoom international Trust on 05th may 1989. Trust was registered on 21st march 1997 with charity commission of UK (charity number 1061821).
She is working from 23 years as the chairperson of Al-Masoom International Trust at UK and now fully devoted herself to the deserving community of Pakistan and has launched number of projects across Pakistan.
The distribution of 550 free wheelchairs on 14th Aug-2009 at Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi in the presence of Mr. Zumard Khan M.D. Pakistan Bait-ul-Mall, Minster of Information Qamar Zaman Qaria and other Parliamentarians of National Assembly.
A new consignment of wheelchairs is in process.]]>

Dear Colleagues. I am writing to you to commend you all for all your hard work in our various projects in Pakistan. As the Head Office trustees, we have been very impressed with the dedication and effort our teams in Pakistan have shown.
We would like to commend Mrs. Khan (Chairperson) for her work and guidance and desire to “get the job done” and also Mr. Khan in his strategic implementation of the goals we have set in our operating plans. Clearly all the team has had a hand in creating a supportive and industrious unit that has managed to fulfill a lot of the desires and objectives that we have set out to achieve. We understand that this can sometimes be difficult and things may not run smoothly, however with everybody pulling together it shows that with the right attitude and aptitude any task can be achieved. Education is the most important and basic human required component over the globe. In Pakistan, a viable number of youth is unable to get education due to lack of support by the families or other social problems.
In this connection, the Trust striving hard to get rid most of problems and difficulties, hindrance to through active and timely respond facilitating innocent youth by providing financial support as well as in the form of books and uniforms. So far the trust provided 450 sets of school uniforms and 450 sets of curriculum books to the individuals in need during the year 2009-2010.]]>
In Shakargarh, district Sialkot, the Trust organized four days Medical Camp to the needy individuals. The camp was supported by the Specialist doctors and Para medical Staff from Islamabad. 8000 patients were checked out by the doctors and provided free medicines for different diseases. In this connection:
4000 drops for ear and eye were provided to the patients.
The Trust provided complete medical facility to the Patients with long term diseases during the years 2009-2010.]]>
