Al-Masoom Vocational Project

Aims & Objectives

The first and foremost priority of the trustees amongst its different priorities was to promote Vocational Education for it is need of the time and basic need of our society as well. These trustees intended to promote Vocational Education in cities and especially in the underdeveloped areas of Pakistan.

Awareness

Our programs are tailored in favor of the poorest; the powerless, the marginalized and women have been at the forefront of our interventions. We have taken effective measures to raise awareness of their rights at all levels. We treat education as the key to sustainable development. We have taken pride in initiating programme like regenerated programs like Regenerated Literacy through Empowering Community Techniques.

Our moral to support government in different welfare projects and to unite NGO’s for the solution of problems being faced by the society by creating a network of cooperation among them.  Al-Masoom International Trust has also under taken a mission to develop local leadership for empowerment of the rural market people. Al-Masoom International Trust in its programs gives importance to women and disadvantaged social group such as hairs (sharecroppers), small landowners and wage earners. It prefers to work in the most underdeveloped regions of the province. These groups and areas have been marginalized through defective development planning. And neither state nor is doing much to promote their development.

Many “NGOs” (Non-Government Organizations) and “CBOs” (Community Base Organizations) are already working for the rural development by they needs support to enhance their professional capacity. Recognizing this demand,  Al-Masoom International Trust actively provides them technical assistance to improve their organizational capacity. In its activities, Al-Masoom International Trust promotes the values of participatory development, women empowerment, social justice and conservation of natural resources.

 SITUATION IN PAKISTAN

The state of education in Pakistan is dire compared to any standards, For example, according to indices put forth by the United Nations and other global education monitoring sources, Pakistan is 166 out of 173 countries on the UN’s Education Index. 33% of Pakistani children, or 7 million children, do not go to school at all, and only 3 out of 100 children reach high school from primary school. 130,000 children of tribal areas have stopped receiving any formal education because the government has closed down temporary schools and fired teachers working on contract basis, without establishing new schools or hiring permanent staff.

According to article 25-A of the constitution, every child from 5 to 16 years must receive free education. Yet, the Ministry of Education has been abolished in Pakistan! The reality is that 60% of government run schools do not have electricity, while 40% of government run schools do not have water. On June 7, 2012, the Chief Justice of Pakistan chastised the government by referring to a children’s school established in a graveyard, without any furniture whatsoever, with the children studying while sitting on the ground amid the graves.

In the light of these circumstances, the United Nation’s ‘Millennium Development Goals’ project predicts zero achievement in universal primary enrollment target for Pakistan. The fact of the matter is that Pakistan’s population will be 350 Million by 2050, and if the present rate of literacy persists, Pakistan will become the most illiterate nation in the whole world.

Our latest Social Activities

We must come forward and to stop this bloodshed. It is possible when we become honest to out soil and our motherland. We need full cooperation of our new generation to handle this problem as youth is our future. You must stand against the traitors, we will be successful Insha Allah and Pakistan will be surely “Pakistan in real not only by Name”
